Case studies

We started with three platforms of inquiry: Civic Hubs, Belonging, and Inclusive Design. Within these conceptual framings, we explored non-traditional and innovative case studies demonstrating empathetic practices that contribute to equity and inclusion. We examined issues such as institutional body language, social mobility, equitable planning processes, decentralized and democratized spaces, and urban vibrancy indicators. During three workshops, we examined best practices in equitable cultural design through case studies and in dialogue with cultural thought leaders, including artists, urban planners, cultural policy makers, and entrepreneurs, along with architects and museum professionals.
